LAMAR BAILEY

Lamar Bailey is an Atlanta-native, husband, and father who captures the energy and love within Black community through mixed media art. His expressive style features loose brushstrokes and abstract textures which help convey emotion and movement. He often paints on unconventional materials like cardboard and card stock, tactile quality to his pieces that adds authenticity and dimension. His art explores the beauty and complexity of Black family life—centering themes of love, resilience, and the everyday moments that shape identity. Through powerful visual storytelling, he seeks to honor and uplift Black communities, shining a light on both quiet and profound moments that reflect their strength, tenderness, and humanity.

Candace Caston b. 1992 in New Orleans, Louisiana received her BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta. In her work she uses primarily paper and water based media to explore the memory of place. She has most recently

exhibited at Tanya Weddemire Gallery in the exhibitions Making Something Out of Nothing and Buy Art Within Reach, with her work featured in The Brooklyn Reader

and The New Jersey Stage through the gallery. Candace has also displayed with UTA Artist Space, The Atlanta Contemporary, Westobou Gallery, Tennessee Gallery, The 2025 Atlanta Art Fair, Peg Alston Gallery and the CICA Museum. Her work has been

published in The Art Newspaper, ArtNet, Burnaway, and Oxford American Magazine. She was a 2024–25 Leap Year Fellow, completing a two-week residency at

the Hambidge Center for Creative Arts and Sciences through the fellowship, and anticipates a forthcoming residency at MASS MoCA in 2027. Candace currently lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia where she maintains her studio practice.
