I am concentrating on painting women of market. These theme of African open air markets are the most colorful vibrant scenes full of movements and sounds, like music of large scale symphony orchestra where every sound is submitted to the harmony of the whole. African market is the melting pot place that you can find in the world, of course if you are selective these theme is an endless source of inspiration for an artist. Here I am fusing flat and frontal style of Ethiopian traditional painting of Coptic Christian style with modern three dimensional realistic painting. The women in my paitings are distorted exaggerated and monumental, they seem still silent and self-composed, but they are moving and continue moving through the fluidity of compositional arrangements, they speak in sheer plastic way like traditional African sculptures
