CANDACE CASTON

Candace Caston b. 1992 in New Orleans, Louisiana received her BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta. In her work she uses primarily paperand water-based media to explore the memory of place. She has most recently exhibited at Tanya Weddemire Gallery in the exhibitions Making Something Out of Nothing and Buy Art Within Reach, with her work featured in The Brooklyn Reader and The New Jersey Stage through the gallery. Candace has also displayed with UTA Artist Space, The Atlanta Contemporary, Westobou Gallery, Tennessee Gallery, The 2025 Atlanta Art Fair, Peg Alston Gallery and the CICA Museum. Her work has been published in The Art Newspaper, ArtNet, Burnaway, and Oxford American Magazine. She was a 2024–25 Leap Year Fellow, completing a two-week residency at the Hambidge Center for Creative Arts and Sciences through the fellowship, and anticipates a forthcoming residency at MASS MOCA in 2027. Candace currently lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia where she maintains her studio practice.
